The Living Remnant: A Dialogue in Gold and Clay

The Inspiration: Dunhuang Grottoes
Chloe, the foundress of Eartivo, has never stood before the Dunhuang Grottoes, yet the echoes of their ancient bells have long resonated in her dreams. To her, the desert represents a specific kind of beauty—one born of grit, wind, and an uncompromising silence. She sought to capture not the grand scale of the sacred caves, but the profound intimacy of a single candle flickering against a weathered, thousand-year-old wall.  These vessels are her sensory response to a history she has only touched through her imagination.

The Soul of the Soil

To honor her vision of a silent, ancient beauty, Chloe chose a deliberate "imperfection". She selected aged Rock-Mineral clay from Dehua—a ceramic sanctuary for over a millennium—and left it unrefined to capture the tactile grit of sun-scorched cliffs. This local clay, rich in iron and sand, is the unique heartbeat of our craft.

These vessels are more than containers; they are living catalysts. The mineral-rich walls interact with your tea, softening the water and unveiling hidden layers of flavor, transforming each pour into a profound sensory ritual.

The Philosophy of Change

At Eartivo, we believe a vessel is only 90% finished when it leaves the kiln. The final 10% is a gift left for the user to bestow through their daily rituals.

The Invitation
This is not a vessel for those seeking flawless symmetry. It is for the seekers of stories. It is a fragment of the ancient Silk Road, reborn on your tea table, waiting to grow old with you.
